Our Program: Products for peace and how it started

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. 

Our Products for Peace Take Action Project was born in an idea of Trick or Treating in costume to Salons and Hotels on Halloween to gather personal care products for a battered women's shelter. Our 2018 pilot program was the happy success we hoped for and our program was born! In early 2019 we summed it up in a thank you poster, seen here, that we delivered to each of the businesses that supported our vision, and they all wanted to help again in 2019! 2019, 2020 and 2021 were big successes and we have continued plans for a Fall Products for Peace donation campaign each year. 

Our Fall of 2022 program is underway in Los Gatos/San Jose and Soquel.

If you are a business who would like to take action with us, we would like to connect with you on the following:

1. Spa, Hotel, Beauty Supply business to donate personal care products and display a program poster.

2. Markets and drug stores who would let us set up collection boxes at your location and display a program poster.

3. Gyms and Health Clubs who would let us set up a collection box at your location and display a program poster.

4. Coffee house who would let us set up a collection box at your location and display a program poster.

It's easy to participate and help! Please drop your donations of personal care and beauty products to any of the locations listed on our site that are hosting collection bins for 2022. Bins will begin to be available on October 9th for the 2022 giving season and run through November 6.
